Dissidence USA is a decade in the making. Founded by William Lamont Robinson (Hasan)—great-nephew of Frederick Douglass—this boutique is the evolution of a vision that started back in 2014 in West LA, from the office of FKAC. We’re not here to fit into the "modest fashion" box or play into the usual tropes. We operate entirely outside the white gaze and institutional gatekeeping because, honestly, we don’t need the validation.
We’ve spent years sourcing unique pieces that you cannot find anywhere else.
It’s a authentic frequency from Foundational Black-American/ADOS memory.
We stay tapped into a global network of creators, keeping us resilient & independent.
William Lamont Robinson (Hasan) has been trying to open a store front since launching FKACO’s first office in West Los Angeles in 2014. Dissidence USA is the next step almost 10 years later. This boutique offers an inspired selection intentionally operating outside the white gaze, institutional control, and trope-driven narratives. By prioritizing sovereign curation over mainstream expectations, the collection serves the modern man through a lens of cultural independence and historical depth.
A powerful evolution of the FKACO brand. Weaving the Douglass lineage directly into Dissidence USA, you establish a bridge between 19th-century abolitionist resistance and 21st-century Islamic sovereignty.
A 10-year journey from the FKACO office in West LA to the launch of Dissidence USA. It's about true grit and perseverance.
Robinson is the Great-nephew of Frederick Douglass. It just makes sense, Dissidence ethical clarity has historical weight.
Dissidence USA feels like a sanctuary or a private library. It’s the scent of frankincense and West African vetiver hitting you while a jazz record spins
